Common Sense™ “Daily Preventive & Maintenance Program”, (also known as “Maintenance”), addresses every system in the body: the endocrine, digestive, eliminative, circulatory, immune (lymphatic), and nervous system. Every organ in each system is directly made stronger by Common Sense™ “Maintenance” because cleanliness immunes us against any illness. Common Sense™ “Maintenance” simply cleanses the entire system and rebuilds every cell, bone, tissue, cartilage, etc., in the body. A clean body is its own and best defense. Cleanliness helps the body to seek its own healthy weight (like water seeks its own level). This combination includes the following ingredients:
is a plant that sends its roots down twenty to thirty feet into the ground and brings up the minerals that are not available on the surface. For this reason, the Arabic word Alfalfa means “father of plants”. It contains the same kind of minerals found in sea kelp. Since everyone cannot live near the sea, our Creator put those minerals in Alfalfa. Alfalfa feeds the pituitary gland (the master gland of the body), thereby, it begins to heal our endocrine system which is vital to our overall health. Alfalfa is rich in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that play a vital role in the strength and growth of our bones and in the maintenance of a healthy body. It also contains calcium, potassium, carotene, iron, and zinc. It can be taken in the form of seeds, leaves, or tablets. Its specific benefits include helping kidney problems and reducing swelling from fluid retention, healing arthritis, nourishing the skeletal, glandular and urinary system.
contains alkaloids (a group of naturally occurring chemical compounds that contain mostly basic nitrogen atoms) which stimulate the production of bile. It has been used to treat gallbladder inflammation, gallstones, and other liver problems. Along with being a great blood builder, Barberry dilates blood vessels, thus lowering high blood pressure. It is also good for jaundice and diarrhea.
was thought to be the only pure food on earth having every mineral, trace mineral, enzyme, and vitamin, needed for the body. It is beneficial for the prostate, but its greatest asset is that it is an energy food. It is also a natural steroid that is much needed when the body is cleansing.
calms the nervous system without side effects while allowing the colon, lungs, uterus, liver, and lymphatic to relax.
energizes and purifies the bloodstream by removing acid. Acid is just mucous in the body. An excess amount of mucous in the lungs can result in us drowning in our own mucous. This is also known as the “death rattle.” About 85% of the population dies this way.
CAYENNE PEPPER (Capsicum)
is thought to be the world’s greatest herb. No herbal combination is complete without it because it is a catalyst for all herbs. Capsicum circulates blood to the extremities (hands, head, feet) which makes wounds heal faster. It will stop internal and external bleeding, shock, heart attacks strokes, ulcers, and a host of other maladies. Contrary to popular belief, it is not an irritant but is a soothing herb.
CASCARA SAGRADA BARK
is the bark of a tree. Its name means “sacred covering” and it is the world’s most intelligent herbal laxative. It works via the liver and gallbladder and is non-habit forming. The bitter gall of the gallbladder is the detergent for the colon; Cascara Sagrada simply strengthens the gallbladder. The gallbladder releases the bile through the small intestines and enters the colon, giving the colon its peristalsis action, which begins moving the waste of the colon wall. It may have been years since the colon has had any peristalsis movement; therefore, you may feel some griping when you first start taking Cascara Sagrada, but it will subside shortly.
helps to remove fatty tissue from the body and is the equivalent to Lecithin. It can be used as a mild appetite suppressant. It also helps to turn mucous back into the water so it can be flushed from the body by taking Cascara Sagrada.
is an herb used for building blood. Don’t forget that blood is the life of the flesh. Every 90 days we have new blood. This herb is the one that is needed by most Americans. Taken faithfully, it is known for getting rid of anemia in approximately 90 days. It also helps to build hydrochloric acid in the stomach to help us digest our food.
is a great appetite suppressant as well as an aromatic herb used for cooking. We use it in Common Sense™ “Maintenance” for its ability to dispel gas as the colon is cleansed. It is also good for gout, cramps, obesity, joint pains, food poisoning, and stomach problems (of all kinds).
is used for its ability to circulate blood in the pelvic area which is vital to the colon. Great for relieving congestion and fevers. It provides relief for pregnant women who have morning sickness. Good for excessive menstruation. Also used in bath water to relieve tired and achy muscles.
are for the repair and rebuilding of the heart. In fact, the berry is shaped somewhat like the heart. A little-known fact is that every eleven months our body has a new heart, but the condition of the new heart is dependent upon how we rebuild it. Hawthorn Berries are sure to build a much better heart at the end of every eleventh month.
strengthens and tones the entire urinary tract and is used for kidneys and bladder problems. It increases the flow of urine and helps eliminate of passive congestion from the kidneys and bladder. It is nature’s answer to the dialysis machine.
is much more than sea vegetation. It is a great mystery to man. Unlike the vegetation on land that has its root in the earth, sea vegetation is anchored on the ocean floor with its roots pointing toward the sun. Due to this strange occurrence, sea vegetation cannot be polluted, even by radiation, while all sea creatures can be killed by radiation. In fact, since science is now using sea vegetation to fertilize land plants, it has been found that land plants become very
resistant to plant disease. This is one of the reasons for the use of sea vegetation in Common Sense™ “Maintenance”. Sea vegetation also contains natural iodine which helps our thyroid. Over-active (underweight) thyroid or under-active (overweight) thyroid matters not to sea vegetation, its job is to make the thyroid work correctly. It is also great for fingernails, hair, and skin.
is an excellent herb for stress. It works the adrenals and is part of the endocrine system. Licorice is also natural cortisone that is good for the human brain. It helps us to release our own endorphins which are our natural morphine.
cleanses the entire body of mucous. Mucous is the side effect of processed food, which kills more of us than all diseases combined. Mullein thins mucous turns it back into a liquid and allows it to be expelled from the lungs. Mullein can be of great help for relieving the symptoms of asthma, pneumonia, hoarseness, stomach aches, intestinal inflammations, yeast infections, candida, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, constipation, and other health conditions. Mullein can provide such therapeutic effects as soothing joint and muscle pains, removing swelling and inflammation related to arthritis, and similar types of diseases. Due to sedative and calming healing properties, the health benefits of Mullein include preventing nervous tension, apathy, insomnia, anxiety, and other symptoms of chronic stress. Mullein serves a great purpose in Common Sense™ “Maintenance”.
provides the digestive system with enzymes. Papaya allows the other herbs to work more effectively as the digestive enzymes absorb the nutrients.
PAU D’ARCO (Taheebo)
is the inner bark of the Red Lapacho Tree found in South America. It has properties that strengthen the entire immune system. Due to processed food and the immunization program that has been done for more than 100 years in America, we are in desperate need of an immune builder.
is a strong blood purifier. Used to help fight cancer, psoriasis, boils, and acne. Relaxes the entire nervous system.
contains Vitamin C in its natural state. Nothing heals without Vitamin C. Rose Hips has so many other properties when taken in its natural state. One of those properties is collagen, an anti-aging property that helps to avert wrinkles.
neutralizes uric acid. Americans eat tons of meat each year which contains a lot of uric acids. Since the body has no facilities for getting rid of uric acid, the only thing it can do to protect itself is by sending water to dilute the acid. As the water grows old and mixes with toxins, the water hardens and turns into fatty tissue and cellulite. The use of Safflower neutralizes the uric acid causing the body not to have to use water in self-defense.
is a great nervine. Nervines in the plant kingdom do not work on the head, they work on the nervous system through the spine. Not only does Skullcap relax the nerves, but it will also rebuild the nerve sheath (the insulation) that protects the nerves. Excellent for the sciatic nerve and all nerves below the waist.
SLIPPERY ELM BARK
is one of the most important herbs in Common Sense™ “Maintenance” because it provides a protective coating for the colon wall. The colon wall is where most of our health troubles begin because when there is no protection, the waste from the colon leaks directly into the bloodstream. Therefore, Slippery Elm may be referred to as nature’s acidophilus. It also serves as an aid to digestion, ulcers, hangovers, and sensitive
is a powerful nervine. It quiets, calms, and promotes sleep. Valerian has a healing effect on the nervous system. It is known to reduce heart palpitations, epilepsy attacks, headaches, hangovers, menstrual cramps, and after pains from childbirth. The drug valium was derived and synthetically made from Valerian Root. Unlike valium, Valerian Root does not have narcotic effects.
